sterlingkbrown-variety

-In Variety’s Emmy’s morning-after interview, This Is Us star Sterling K Brown opens up about his historic win. He also revealed that his naked butt was cut out of his new movie with Kate Hudson. Boo-urns, Hollywood!

-For THR’s fashion issue, celebrities talk about the first time they met their fave designer. I don’t know why Jen Meyers is practically sitting in Jennifer Aniston’s lap, though.

Halle Berry, 51, stepped out with new boyfriend Alex Da Kid, 35, hours after going Instagram official.

-The woman in Kevin Hart‘s sex tape is denying any involvement in the alleged extortion plot.

-The Ryan Philippe plot thickens.

-The best part of the Gossip Girl 10-year anniversary is all of the think pieces. I will read them all! Every. Single. One.

-Following those photos of Gina Torres kissing another man, she and Laurence Fishburne have announced their split after 14 years of marriage. Gina is a BAMF and I just want her to be happy.

-Speaking of splits, there are rumours that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen may have broken up after 9 years of marriage.

-The Good Place returns tonight, and it’s one of the few shows I’m actually looking forward to this TV season. Kristen Bell‘s video of her castmates finding out about last year’s shocking twist is perfect.

-It’s DVD season, which means it’s gag reel season! Here are the ones from Arrow,  Timeless,  Criminal MindsSupernatural and The Flash.

Daniel Dae Kim and Ed Skrein are fighting Hollywood whitewashing one Instagram pic at a time.

-This is an interesting look at why award season bait like Hostiles and Disobedience are still without deals after TIFF.  The festival’s late/delayed screening times and issues with attendance reports didn’t help.

-Add Sean Penn to the list of film stars turning to the small screen. (As @ira says, keep it.)

-The Honest Trailer for Wonder Woman is kind of perfect, guy.

-After bringing you Sexy Archie, the CW is developing a dark horror take on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Yeah, I’m in.

-A lucky fan got to get her makeup done by Rihanna at Fenty’s London launch.

-I’m kind of done with Netflix’s Marvel shows (with the exception of Jessica Jones and The Runaways), but the first trailer for The Punisher is mighty intriguing.

-Here’s the first trailer for Alicia Vikander as Tomb Raider. I envy her triceps.

Dave Franco and Alison Brie Are Married

-Congratulations to Dave Franco and Alison Brie, who got married.

-Speaking of marriage, Broad City’s Ilana Glazer also tied the knot to her longtime boyfriend, David Rooklin.

-Not surprisingly, Angelina Jolie was reportedly “feeling butterflies” before taking on a job that she seems completely unqualified for.

Emma Watson will never be allowed to wear a yellow dress ever again.

-Forgot those skeevy tabloid rumours. Eva Mendes went to SXSW with Ryan Gosling (but she avoided the red carpet).

-Eva is also on the cover of the new Shape magazine, talking about her love of Krispy Kremes. Same, girl.

-Jesus, has there ever been an actor worse at PR than Iron Fist’s Finn Jones?? He’s blaming Trump for bad reviews, skating over the show’s diversity issue, and getting worked up over the “problematic” internet outrage. Doesn’t he remember that Marvel replaced Terrence Howard for less?

-Joss Whedon has mixed feelings about binge watching. Me too.

-I think half of the reason I push back against This Is Us is the way that show is so aggressively marketed as sad. We’re being told tonight’s finale is going to be “intense as hell,” “stressful,” “heartbreaking,” and go to the “darkest place we’ve ever been.”  Parenthood (the show it gets compared to most) certainly had its heavy moments but it didn’t drown in them. I don’t want to feel like that every single week. Plus, the show totally lacks nuance.

-I keep forgetting that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are having a baby. Probably because I keep forgetting about Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk.

-This is why I try to avoid reading articles about comic-based shows on comic sites. Because of crap like this. God forbid there are two shows featuring female leads without pitting them against each other!

-Out of all the Weekend Update duos that deserved their own spinoff, this one isn’t it.

-Between someone editing Breaking Bad into a 2-hour film, and the Game of Thrones creators bragging that they are making a “73-hour movie,” I’m pretty over people pretending that movies are better than TV. No one wants to watch a 73 hour movie. Make a TV show instead! TV is good!

-Here’s the new teaser for Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan ReynoldsLife.

Claire Danes On Finding Love and Landing Her Dream Role

Claire Danes is having a great month of magazine covers. First was her killer Harper’s Bazaar UK issue, and now comes her Marie Claire cover. In the interview, she talks about how she “was in agony” when she hadn’t acted for two years before nabbing Homeland, and describes her movie-style meet-cute with Hugh Darcy: “[We] met in Rhode Island when it was at its most audaciously beautiful, in the fall. And there was one day when we were bicycling by the water and it was sparkly and idyllic, and I just had this dumb epiphany, like, ‘I’m really just happy.'”

-This is just what Angelina and Brad need right now: Zahara Jolie-Pitt‘s biological mother is reportedly hoping to get back in contact with her daughter.

-This doesn’t seem like the type of dress Amal Clooney would wear if she were trying to camouflage a pregnancy, but my Twitter TL feels differently so what do I know?

Ariana Grande is being mocked (justifiably) for saying she’s the “hardest working 23-year-old” in the world.

Kesha was interviewed by Viceland’s Zach Goldbaum about her exhausting legal battle with producer Dr. Luke. “To work really hard for something, and have it taken away from you is pretty devastating. I worked my ass off for a lot of years to be able to do it. It is, like, definitely a mind-fuck.”

Ben Affleck tries to laugh off the Sad Ben meme; still seems pretty sad.

Jason Statham and Gal Gadot‘s Super Bowl commercial may be the one to beat this year.

-Huh. NBC has ordered a 10-episode revival of Will & Grace.  I’m guessing that they’re just going to pretend the finale’s flashforwards were all a group fever dream?

Ashley Judd‘s Ted Talk debuted online today on how online abuse has spiraled out of control, and whatever you may think of her rumoured onset behavior, it’s pretty compelling. “Online misogyny is a global gender rights tragedy and it is imperative that it ends.”

-Could we finally be getting a movie with Donald Glover as Spider-Man?

Drake has reportedly already met Jennifer Lopez’s kids.

-This Is Us has been renewed by NBC for not one, but two more seasons. I hope every episode revolves around Randall because when he’s not in it (like last night) the show is poorer for it.

John Oliver gets a little help from Larry David and Kumail Nanjiani in his season four promo.

-Star Trek Discovery has been delayed yet again, thanks to The Walking Dead. There’s no word on a premiere date now.

-In happier TV news, Review is coming back! I give this news 4 stars! (Not having a premiere date yet only gets 1/2 star though.)

-OB-GYNs would prefer it if you didn’t listen to Gwyneth Paltrow’s advice about using vaginal jade eggs.

Ellen Degeneres re-imagined La La Land with her as the female lead.

Aaron Rodgers’ family reportedly doesn’t “trust” Olivia Munn and I’ve never cared about sports more!
