Julia Fox Chronicles Date with Kanye West

-The Julia Fox/Kanye West thing go so weird so fast. She gave Interview magazine basically a “date diary” (with photos!) about her second date with him, in which he surprised her with a new wardrobe. (The article seems to have been pulled but you can still view the cached version.) They’ve only known each since New Year’s Eve and many others have pointed out that he reportedly tried to control Kim Kardashian‘s wardrobe, but a new interview with her seems to indicate that she’s aware people are worried she’s being love bombed.

-Also, it wasn’t until that interview that I saw she once accused her ex-husband and the father of her baby of “f*cking his aunt.” What is happening?!?

Kate Bosworth is dating Justin Long after announcing her split from her husband in August. When I first read that I thought, “Oh cute, they’ve reunited.” But apparently, they didn’t date in the 90s and I just imagined that?!

The Weeknd‘s new album dropped and everyone is wondering if the song “Here We Go…Again”, (which includes the line “My new girl, she a movie star”) is about Angelina Jolie.

-This is an excellent interview with Andrew Garfield (who, in this moment, seems to be more beloved than he’s ever been). He talks about his willingness to play Spider-Man again (there’s lots of spoilers about how what happens in the latest movie could pave the way, so click only if you’ve seen No Way Home).

-In another interview, he says he and fellow Spider Man alum Tobey Maguire snuck into a movie theatre together to watch No Way Home. I love that they have a little Spidey-based bromance!

Adam Scott posted a pic in his Party Down costume for the revival and it makes me so happy (and yet also sad that his character still appears to be a cater waiter).

Whoopi Goldberg, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and more are paying tribute to Sidney Poitier, who died at 94.

-It looks like Mary Cosby has quit the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion.

-Amazon’s The Boys will return June, and celebrated with a funny fake ad.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were spotted together in Miami, but maybe they were just coparenting their dog?

Rooney Mara will play Audrey Hepburn in a new biopic.

-I’m always hesitant to put too much stock in early reactions to new films while the reviews are still embargoed, but man, everyone is losing their minds over the new Scream.

-Insecure’s Yvonne Orji plays a matchmaker for single parents in the trailer for My Mom, Your Dad.

Adele Gives Good Face

2 images of Adele: one in a red blazer, and another in a black dress

-I adore this 80s-ish photoshoot with Adele for The Face. In the interview, she talked about her ex-husband, Simon Konecki and why she was so drawn to him. “I was like, ‘I’d be a f**king damn fool to walk away from this man being the father of my child compared to any other man that I encountered before or after up until recently, phew! I would’ve regretted that, forever.”

-Meanwhile, she told Apple Music that she isn’t making music for TikTok. “I’d rather cater to people who are on my level in terms of the amount of time we’ve spent on Earth and the things we’ve been through.”

-It’s happening. Sources tell E! News that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson are indeed dating after they were photographed holding hands in Palm Springs. “He makes her laugh the entire time they are together and she is completely enthralled by him.” (People are amused/scandalized that she’s wearing Yeezys in the photos.)

Jennifer Lawrence and her baby bump attended a screening of Don’t Look Up (though I’m much more focused on what Meryl Streep and Jonah Hill are wearing).

Sam Asghari attended the House of Gucci premiere (which is…huh) and talked about his plans with Britney Spears. “We’re getting ready for a wedding, baby!”

Simu Liu tries to keep the peace between Saweetie and Kyle Mooney in his SNL promo.

Blake Lively is promoting her new line of mixers — but it doesn’t sound like she’ll be enjoying them herself. “I don’t drink because I don’t like the effects of alcohol, but I like being a part of it.”

-In a new Hawkeye clip, Clint and Kate play with fire to take down the Tracksuit Mafia. Meanwhile, the NYT profiles Jeremy Renner, who somehow has two shows dropping at the same time: Hawkeye and Mayor of Kingstown.

-The Office’s Brian Baumgartner (who played Kevin) wrote a new book about the show, and in it John Krasinski talks about the only scene he pushed back on, which saw Jim make out with Pam’s replacement Cathy when Pam was on maternity leave. “That’s the only time I remember putting my foot down…I remember saying things that I never thought I’d say before, like, ‘I’m not going to shoot it.’ There is a threshold with which you can push our audience. They are so dedicated. We have shown such great respect to them. But there’s a moment where if you push them too far, they’ll never come back. And I think that if you show Jim cheating, they’ll never come back.”

-Speaking of The Office, Mindy Kaling was on Kelly Clarkson’s show and they tried her character Kelly Kapoor’s “disgusting” favourite cocktail.

-This is a really great read on the state of made-for-cable holiday movies.

Jonah Hill is set to play Jerry Garcia in a film about The Grateful Dead from Martin Scorsese.

-Discovery+ is planning a documentary on the tumultuous relationship between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka are the latest to call for an investigation after tennis player Peng Shuai went missing after accusing a former top official of sexually assaulting her.

-Here’s an interesting interview with Jason Reitman, in which he talked for an hour about a lot of things that have besides the movie he was promoting.

-Here’s the final trailer for Nightmare Alley with Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Toni Collette and Bradley Cooper.

Jodie Turner-Smith, Anjelica Huston and Florence Welch for Gucci’s “Bloom”

Gucci’s new ad campaign features Anjelica Huston, Jodie Turner-Smith and Florence Welch. And it’s soundtracked by a Mazzy Star song! I immediately want to buy whatever perfume they’re selling.

Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix welcomed their first child together — a boy they named River in honor of Phoenix’s brother, the famous actor who died in 1993. I have to go cry forever.

-Another surprise celeb baby arrival: Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski welcomed a son.

-In other baby news, Game of Thrones stars Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie are expecting.

-The Demi Lovato/Max Ehrich split is getting messy messier. She’s reportedly embarrassed after he claimed on social media that he found out about their breakup through the media and that she’s allowing him to be “bullied” by her fans.

Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated her 48th birthday by posting a nude photo on Instagram and frankly, why not?

-In an interview with Empire, Sienna Miller revealed that Chadwick Boseman had taken a cut on his salary for 21 Bridges in order to fix the salary disparity she was facing. He told her: “You’re getting paid what you deserve, and what you’re worth.”

Eddie Redmayne (who once problematically played a trans woman) tries to have it both ways in a new interview: both decrying the hatred trans people get but jumping to J.K. Rowling’s defense.  “Though he disagreed with Rowling’s comments on the issue, he was alarmed by the ‘vitriol’ hurled at her on social media, which he termed ‘absolutely disgusting’, and which prompted him to write her a private note.”  I mean, if she didn’t want any vitriol directed her way, she could always stop baiting the entire internet?

-All heroes let you down eventually. It’s Sex Pistols’ John Lydon’s turn today.

-It’s wild to me that Katherine McPhee has been courting her gay fanbase for years, and yet is a Trump supporter.

-Meanwhile, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson endorsed Biden and the replies to his tweet are so, so disturbing. (Of course, many of them are bots.)

-In Mariah Carey‘s new book, she says she secretly recorded a grunge rock album in the ’90s. She’s since tweeted that she’s on “a quest to unearth the version of this album with my lead vocals and will not stop until we find it.”

-I kind of like the new pop-punky Machine Gun Kelly and Halsey song — which makes me hate myself a little.

-The fact that Beth Grant keeps replying to this tweet about how she’s been in everything and giving tidbits about each acting role is the wholesome Twitter content I need right now.

James Cameron says Avatar 2 is “100% done” filming and Avatar 3 is “95% complete” because they’ve been shooting in New Zealand. “We’re able to operate. We’re able to shoot and have a more or less normal life here. We were very fortunate, so I don’t see any roadblocks to us getting the picture finished, getting both pictures finished.” Sure, but do we believe him?

-The World’s A Little Blurry, the new documentary on Billie Eilish, is set to hit theaters and Apple TV Plus early next year.

-Julie and the Phantoms actor Jeremy Shada and his wife are selling t-shirts based on fan art and it all seems quite shady. There are whole think pieces to be written on fandoms who produce creative works and how their free labour is used.

-13 Reasons Why star Anne Winters really, really wants to play Madonna in the new biopic and doesn’t care who knows. This seems so thirsty to me but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do these days.
