Priyanka Chopra Opens Up About Her Relationship With Nick Jonas

priyanka chopra vogue

-It’s a big week for Priyanka Chopra. Not only is she getting married in two days, but she also landed on the new cover of Vogue (marking the first Indian woman to be on Vogue America’s cover). In the joint interview with Nick Jonas, she talks about how their first date was “too respectful” (“We hung out for a couple of hours. He patted my back before he left”) and talks about letting the public in on relationship details (“I’ve had that rule my whole life: Never publicly acknowledge a relationship. Ever. What is happening? I’ve not known myself like this. This guy turned me into such a girl! If I could blush, I’d be tomato red right now”).

Priyanka and Nick‘s wedding guest list reportedly includes Armie Hammer, Lupita Nyong’o, and Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson.

-EW released their Entertainers of the Year covers, which included covers featuring the Crazy Rich Asians and Black Panther ladies, as well as Cardi B and Darren Criss. They also released video interviews with some of their entertainers. Great job, Baranski!

-The girl who posted the Michael B Jordan faked missed connection ended up going to the Creed 2 premiere, and MBJ even tweeted about it. She’s now my hero.

Rachel McAdams has stayed pretty mum about her new baby, but in a new interview with the Sunday Times she confirmed that she had a baby boy back in April: “I’m having more fun being a mom than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me. Even the tough days, there’s something delightful about them.”

-In a new interview, Kate Beckinsale says she is open to the idea of more kids: “I definitely would [consider more children], but then I think, Oh God, I annihilated my 20s and I suddenly get a taste of freedom and annihilate myself again? But I am open to seeing what happens.”

-In more baby talk, Hailey Baldwin graces Vogue Arabia’s two December covers, and talks about wanting kids with hubby Justin Bieber. “I love kids and I can’t wait to have my own.I would say now that’s a closer reality.”

-Jesus H Murphy, did People really just run a sympathetic feature on Matt Lauer and how he’s coping with the fallout of his sexual harassment allegations. How HE’S coping?!?

-This is a great reminder from GQ that bad men don’t need a comeback.

-A woman who attended one of Aziz Ansari‘s recent shows in Toronto (there were two because the first show sold out, smh) described a conflicted audience.

-This is a great, great thread by Mo Ryan about all the #MeToo fallout at CBS over the last year — and how little action has been taken.

-And here I thought peak TV was a problem — now we have peak movies. The first wave of awards gave top prizes to The Rider and First Reformed (starring Ethan Hawke): two Oscar contenders I’ve never even heard of.

-Do you think Mariah Carey’s kids will one day view “All I Want for Christmas” the same way Hugh Grant’s character in About a Boy views his dad’s holiday jingle?

Hugh Grant recalls all the horrible things he’s done onscreen to frequent costar Ben Whishaw:”I want him dead…I put him in prison. I tried to kill him on a train. I seduced him, and tried to have him murdered. He’s been very nice about it.”

-I love this article about Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen’s relationship — and I love Mary Steenburgen’s tweet about it even more.

Protect Mr. Feeny at all costs.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth lost their home to a California wildfire, but they’ve still donated $500,000 as they set their sights on rebuilding not just their house, but also their community.

-Here’s the latest trailer for Runaways season 2.

-This Luther trailer is everything! The serial killer looks impressively creepy, and I actually squealed at the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpse of Ruth Wilson‘s Alice at the end.

Mariah Carey Reveals Bipolar Diagnosis

Mariah Carey Bipolar Disorder PEOPLE cover

-In her People cover story, Mariah Carey revealed she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2001. “For a long time I thought I had a severe sleep disorder. But it wasn’t normal insomnia and I wasn’t lying awake counting sheep. I was working and working and working…I was irritable and in constant fear of letting people down. It turns out that I was experiencing a form of mania.” Good on her for opening up and starting conversations about mental health.

-Congrats to Rachel McAdams, who just welcomed her first child — a boy.

-Fandango reports that Avengers: Infinity War is on course to presell more tickets than any other superhero title in history, supplanting Black Panther. Its presales are outpacing last seven Marvel movies COMBINED.

-This behind-the-scenes video from the movie set is very cute.

-Meanwhile, Vulture ranks which of the 33 characters are most likely to die in the movie. (I think the second-from-the-last person they list is pretty much a sure thing, no?)

Patti LuPone was not a fan of Uma Thurman’s Broadway debut. “I don’t necessarily need to see film actors on stage. Can I just say…Uma Thurman in The Parisian Woman, anybody seen it? [Raising her eyes and speaking slowly] Holy shit! I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

John Legend said on Ellen he knows who bit Beyonce but he’s staying mum.

-Kylie Bunbury got engaged to Jon-Ryan Alan Riggins. Mark-Paul Gosselaar‘s comment on her IG post is perfect. (I love that they seem to miss Pitch as much as I do.)

-The Ocean’s 11 trailer drops tomorrow. Eeeeeee!!!!

-Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson was caught on camera making out with two women while his girlfriend Khloe Kardashian is due to give birth to their child any day now.

-The guy who plays Jax on Legends of Tomorrow is out here showing his ass on Twitter.

Amy Schumer says Jennifer Lawrence introduced her to Adele — and the singer almost officiated her wedding. “I’d never met her before. We hung out a little bit that week, and then we were just real drunk one night, and we were talking about how we wanted to get married, and Adele was like, ‘Well, I can marry you.’ And we were like, ‘OK, cool.’ We were making a whole plan…and then the next day, she was like, ‘Hey, we’re not really, like, friends.'”

-I don’t care what everyone else believes, Hugh Jackman‘s anniversary message to his wife is super sweet.

Jake Gyllenhaal is insisting he won’t be the new Batman. Wait, was that a possibility?!

Kevin Smith offered an ailing Stan Lee an invitation to move in with him.

Aisha Tyler directed a new movie called Axis, which I saw and really liked. It’s out now on streaming platforms.

-Not surprisingly, Netflix is pulling out of Cannes completely.

-I really liked this article on Drake and Cardi B’s recent samplings of Lauren Hill.

Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan play a couple who unexpectedly end up taking in a kid in the Ideal Home trailer. The movie had be at “play a couple.”

Brendan Fraser Alleges Sexual Assault Derailed His Career

-I honestly didn’t think I could ever be gutted by a Brendan Fraser interview, but here we are. Everyone’s focusing on his allegations that former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Philip Berk groped him in 2003 (“Am I still frightened? Absolutely. Do I feel like I need to say something? Absolutely. Have I wanted to many, many times? Absolutely. Have I stopped myself? Absolutely. And maybe I am over-reacting in terms of what the instance was. I just know what my truth is”). But the entire article is worth your time. He talks about buying a horse for his autistic son and recalls having no one in his life tell him that if he kept working the way he was his body would fall apart. He also takes a break from talking to go shoot some arrows.

-Did Rachel McAdams sit out of the Game Night promotional duties because she’s trying to hide a baby bump? First she was spotted looking like she might be expecting, and E! News is now reporting that she’s seven months along. I like her so much and I wish her only the best!

-The guy who played Smith Jerrod on Sex and the City seems to be firmly on Team Sarah Jessica Parker, implying that Kim Cattrall wasn’t very nice to him.

-This is terrible: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had an Anthrax terror scare and police are treating the incident as a racist hate crime.

Joss Whedon has exited the Batgirl movie, saying “it took me months to realize I really didn’t have a story.” I’m so glad. As much as I loved Buffy, I’ve since found him to be … problematic. Here are 100 female directors DC can choose from instead.

Quincy Jones‘ kids, including Rashida Jones, staged a “family intervention” in which they lovingly told him to stop shitting on everyone in interviews.

-This clip of Ellen surprising Tiffany Haddish by introducing her to Oprah made me tear up a bit. Seriously, it’s the most wonderful 2 minutes you’ll ever see. They also did a cooking segment together.

-God, I would have paid cash money to see Leonardo DiCaprio realize that Oprah didn’t recognize him. “Is it Justin Timberlake?” I’m laughing forever…

-Grownish’s Yara Shahidi may star in the adaptation of The Sun Is Also a Star. This book. My god, if you haven’t read this book then you need to drop everything and go read it now!

Meryl Streep is not having Harvey Weinstein using her to dismiss a sexual misconduct lawsuit, calling it “pathetic and exploitative” to use her words in his defense.

-The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon offer tips on how to be heard when no one listens to you, and they’re great. “I think, with ladies in rooms, it’s all our jobs to watch out for each other. If anyone is being spoken over, I think it’s our job to go back and be like, ‘You were saying something.'”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar‘s take on Three Billboards is worth your time.

-I love Vulture’s piece on how Get Out is the first great movie of the Trump era. This bit from Bradley Whitford is hilarious: “I was at a strip mall in L.A. and I didn’t have any cash, and someone said there was a cash machine in the barbershop. So I went into the barbershop and I opened the door and there were 15 African-American guys getting cut — and they all screamed.”

-Comedian and actor Michael Ian Black wrote a really compelling opinion piece for the NYT on school shootings: “America’s boys are broken. And it’s killing us.”

-Shit. Those blind items about Lorde and Jack Antonoff might have been right after all.

-I certainly don’t expect Amber Tamblyn to take responsibility for everything her husband says, but as someone who’s profile has grown considerably because of #MeToo, this isn’t a good look either.

-Here’s Saoirse Ronan in the first trailer for Ian McEwan‘s scripted drama On Chesil Beach.
