Halle Berry Shows Off Killer Abs

Halle Berry is 53 and she’s bragging about having abs for the first time, which I’m going to think about every time I feel like bailing on the gym.

Miley Cyrus is on vocal rest after undergoing surgery, so expect her IG stories to be 76% less problematic than usual.

-Season two of YOU premieres on Netflix on Dec 26, so you can avoid your family this holiday season by being conflicted about your feelings for a serial killer.

Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans did an Actors on Actors interview, in which they talked about Avengers, A Marriage Story, Knives Out and Scorsese’s comments about Marvel.

-Meanwhile, Chadwick Boseman suggested Scorsese’s timing of his comments is suspect. “You’ve got to think about when he’s saying it. He’s saying it when he’s possibly campaigning for an award. He’s saying it at a time when he’s making a Netflix movie, so that’s how eyes get on his film, and it’s not going to be in the cinemas—it’s not going to be seen the best way.”

-NPR’s Linda Holmes has assembled a guide to more than 60 new holiday movies coming to TV this season. She’s doing god’s work.

-In other Fleabag-related news, Victoria Beckham, Olivia Colman, Nigella Lawson, Roxane Gay, Maya Rudolph and more got to ask Phoebe Waller-Bridge some questions about her work.

Drake was booed off stage at LA music festival this weekend when he showed up as the surprise guest. Between this and the Don Cherry news, Canada is really have A DAY.

T.I.‘s daughter has unfollowed him and her family. After his comments last week about her hymen, this seems like a solid choice.

Beanie Feldstein‘s comedy How to Build a Girl (which I really liked at TIFF) was bought by IFC.

-10 days after AppleTV Plus launched, the head of scripted programming is leaving. Peak streaming is going fine, guys.

-Meanwhile, Disney+ launches tomorrow, and no one seems to know what to do. (I’m sure millions of people downloading an app and logging in for the first time all at once will go incredibly smoothly.)

-The order of the rankings on these types of lists always bug me, but overall The AV Club’s compilation of the 100 best shows of the 2010s is pretty spot on.

-Have you read Daisy Jones & the Six yet? Get on it before Amazon’s adapted series comes out.

-I love that Blumhouse is doing so well, but man all of their movie trailers give me the scares. Lucy Hale, Maggie Q, Michael Peña, and Portia Doubleday star in Fantasy Island.

Anna Kendrick Talks Dating Dealbreakers

Anna Kendrick in O
Anna Kendrick in O.

Anna Kendrick is getting all the magazine features this week. Her latest is in O Magazine, where she calls tickling a dating “red flag” and reveals her love of baking blogs.

-Meanwhile, here’s a new clip of Anna and Ryan Reynolds in The Voices.

-Glee’s Naya Rivera says showering every day “is such a white people thing.” Wait, what?

Chris Hemsworth really, really got into his game of Water War with Jimmy Fallon.

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny tweeting at each other continues to be my favourite thing.

Jennifer Lawrence interviewed Eddie Redmayne, and of course they talked about the Real Housewives.

Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling are teaming up to star in an adaptation of The Big Short, making your mom really happy.

-The more I read about Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer adaptation, the more I want it. Josh Charles, John Slattery and a whole bunch of others just signed on.

-Of all the people I assumed wouldn’t ever want to get married again, Usher was at the top of my list. But he’s taking the plunge one more time.

Julianne Moore already has regrets about her Golden Globes speech. Something tells me she’ll get another shot at an acceptance speech soon.

-Entertainment Weekly’s Boyhood cover is nightmare-inducing stuff. I am not looking forward to that landing in my mailbox.

-The NYT has a good article on Better Call Saul. It’s somewhat comforting that everyone involved seems hyper-aware of the possibility it’ll mess up Breaking Bad’s legacy.

Kristen Stewart is tired of everyone thinking she doesn’t give a f*ck about anything. “I’m like, actually, no one gives a f*ck like me. No one gives more of a f*ck than me. It’s just ironic to me. I’m always like, really?”

Lena Dunham thinks “Tinder is a tool for murder.” She might not be wrong.

-This feature on the ladies from Broad City is fantastic and makes me want to catch up on the show, which returns tonight.

-Speaking of articles that made me want to watch a TV show, Elle ran an excellent profile of Jill Soloway, the creator of Transparent.

Gwyneth Paltrow showed up on Howard Stern this morning, where she talked about how smart she is and dished about her past relationships with Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt.

-The Honest Trailer for Gone Girl is pretty damn great.

-Agent Carter’s ratings slipped last night (which is not uncommon for a second episode), but a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 on ABC? Ouch!

Russell Brand went off on Fox News’ hate-mongering and it was pretty swell.

-There’s no actual proof that Dakota Johnson and Jaime Dornan don’t like each other, but it’s true that they have zero chemistry in photos/interviews. I’m actually amazed by how bland Johnson is coming off on this press tour. What happened to the spitfire from Ben & Kate?

-Their show may be on the brink of cancellation, but there’s a silver lining for Stalker costars Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q. They’re reportedly engaged.

-I’m intrigued by Liam Neeson‘s new movie Run All Night, mostly because it stars Joel Kinnaman, who should be a bigger star than he is.
