Tiffany Haddish Dishes on Taylor Swift’s Potluck Dinner Party

Tiffany Haddish continues to be the perfect talk show host. On today’s Ellen, she talked about getting invited to Taylor Swift‘s potluck dinner party. (“She can cook. Like the chicken was BOMB! And she made cornbread. BOMB!”)

Ed Sheeran says that Beyoncé changes her email address EVERY single week. Frankly, I’m more surprised that she uses email…

-Meanwhile, here’s the duet Ed and Beyonce released last week.

Demi Lovato is doing everything right. If I was famous, I too would cast Jessie Williams in my music video and fill it with hot sex scenes.

-The woman who played Gail on Dawson’s Creek keeps posting old behind-the-scenes pics from the show and I am NOT OK!

-TV did right by its female superheroes last week, and was all the better for it.

-The very best part of this weekend’s SNL was the “Welcome to Hell” song.

-Well, this is the best possible House Of Cards outcome: The 8-episode final season will star Robin Wright, without Kevin Spacey.  No one loses their job, and Wright gets to end the series as the HBIC.

-As soon as the Kevin Spacey news hit, a lot of attention shifted to director Bryan Singer. (Google their names together — rumours and settlement whispers about Singer have been floating around for years, with Spacey’s name often associated). So lots of eyebrows raised when production on Bohemian Rhapsody (the Freddie Mercury biopic starring Remi Malek) was halted on Friday because Singer failed to show up.  Now comes confirmation that he’s been officially fired from the movie, with THR reporting that Singer and Malek repeatedly clashed due to Singer’s repeated unexplained absences and culminated in a confrontation “which, while it did not become physical, did involve Singer throwing an object.”

-One of Danny Masterson‘s alleged sexual assault victims says a Netflix executive told her this weekend that higher-ups at the company don’t believe the four women who have accused Masterson of rape. Then the exec’s wife wrote the woman a truly terrible email — from her Disney corporate account! For a company as savvy as Netflix, they keep stepping in it with this one.

-A Penguin editor resigned after actress Charlyne Yi accused him of harassment, which he vigorously denied on his blog. So she responded with Tweeting out some serious receipts.

-Gross. Matt Lauer is seeking $30 million from NBC after firing over sexual misconduct allegations.

-This is a good question: why isn’t Hollywood rallying around Terry Crews?

Meek Mill’s request for a bail hearing has been denied. Seriously, how has this judge not been recused yet? This is nuts.

-It’s HILARIOUS that the New York Times is trying to explain what a shipper is.  I first heard the term when The X-Files was airing — the first time around. Also, I disagree with their assessment that shippers only like non-canon couples. This is a way better explainer.

Steven Soderberg his having some issues with his Godless series. First, critics seemed disheartened that it was marketed as a Wild West centered around two badass widows, but turned out to be a dude-focused Deadwood rip-off. Now he’s denying plagiarism claims.

Justin Theroux plays a sexually frustrated astronaut on this week’s At Home With Amy Sedaris. This seems like good content.

-I’ve never watched the TV show The Exorcist, but the fact that the showrunner responded like this to reaction of a gay kiss makes me want to:  “I saw a couple of homophobes on Twitter and my response is, ‘Good, f*ck you. I’m glad you didn’t like it, I’m glad it ruined the show for you. You shouldn’t have good things in your life.'”

-Avengers: Infinity War has become the most-viewed trailer in 24 hours of all time with 230 million views.

-I haven’t been excited by an NBC show for years, but this Good Girls trailer has Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman robbing a grocery store so I’m in.

Christina Hendricks also shows up with Gillian Anderson in the Crooked House trailer.

Bill Hader is a world-class assassin in the first trailer for HBO’s Barry.

-Speaking of new HBO shows, True Blood and Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball‘s new series Here And Now has a trailer.

-The first Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom teaser features Bryce Dallas Howard in shoes that aren’t heels. So yay!

Idris Elba Talks Bond Rumours

Idris Elba esquire

Idris Elba is looking mighty fine on the cover of Esquire, where he talks about his relationship with his father, and trying  to shake those Bond rumours.

Beyonce and Jay Z‘s daughter Blue Ivy freestyles on a 4:44 outtake, and she’s better than I could ever hope to be.  Also, I think it’s super weird for a 5-year-old to have fans, but the fact that they’re dubbing themselves The Ivy League is kinda cute.

-Ha ha ha: the owner of the dog shelter where Lena Dunham got her dog (which she just gave away) is disputing the actress’ claims that the dog has a history of aggression and abuse. And then Dunham disputed their claim?  This story is crazy and I love it.

Rooney Mara says the first time she ever tried pie was last year while shooting a movie scene. Just in case you were wondering why she always looked so miserable…

Ben Affleck is back on the dating scene. He’s apparently seeing SNL producer Lindsay Shookus. (Best. Name. Ever.)

Prince‘s music videos are now on YouTube, something that would never have happened when he was alive.

-Parenthood’s Mae Whitman spent the 4th of July with her TV mom Lauren Graham and that makes me weirdly happy.

-Spider-Man: Homecoming delivered $15.4 million from Thursday previews, which is even stronger than expected so look for it to blow up this weekend.

Broken Social Scene just released their first album in seven years and the reviews are glowing. They also landed on the cover of Spin.

Jeremy Renner insists a few arm fractures won’t stop him from doing whatever he spends his time doing (which I assume includes flipping houses).

-I don’t watch Agents of Shield but I follow Chloe Bennet because she’s done a lot of good charity work for women’s health in Haiti — and her Instagram stories are adorable. So I’m a little bummed that she’s broken up with Walking Dead’s Austin Nichols. She seems to be doing just fine tho.

-I agree with every single thing on this list of the worst characters on CW’s superhero shows.

Halle Berry is desperate to get her son back in the new trailer for Kidnap.

Pepsi Pulls Kendall Jenner Ad

-Pepsi finally relented and pulled that controversial ad — and apologized to Kendall Jenner for some reason (don’t they realize she’s the Becky in this?!).

-Meanwhile, Kendall just went public with her relationship with A$AP Rocky because girl know the value of a good narrative pivot.

-Well, shit. Eliza Dushku says she wasn’t invited to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion.

-Meanwhile, Sarah Michelle Gellar played Shag, Marry, Kill with her Buffy men.

-Is George Clooney giving up on his legendary pranks now that he’s going to be the busy father of two children? Probs not.

-Despite middling reviews, Prison Break ratings were good. Really good.

-Speaking of last night’s TV, the chances are looking good that New Girl will be renewed but if it’s not, I would be happy with that ep as a series finale. In fact, it probably should be.

-In his new memoir, Alec Baldwin says producers of the indie in which his character slept with Nikki Reed‘s didn’t tell him that she was only 16 at the time of filming. The producer went on a Twitter rant yesterday insisting that was not the case.

-We’re finally going to get to see Squirrel Girl on TV and Mae Whitman is gunning for the part HARD on Twitter. Get it, girl.

-Meanwhile, Mae was Jenny Slate‘s date at last night’s Gifted premiere.

-I wish Jennifer Aniston would wear something other than a little black dress, but at least the one she wore to The Leftovers premiere was v. cute. Carrie Coon‘s dress, however, owned the night.

David Schwimmer and wife of seven years Zoe Buckman say they’ve decided to take “some time apart.” Cue the endless “they’re on a break!!” jokes…

-NBC’s Red Nose Day programming will include a celeb edition of American Ninja Warrior featuring Stephen Amell, Erika Christensen, Mena Suvari and Derek Hough. A few weeks ago Zachary Levi posted (and then quickly deleted) footage of Amell completing the route and it looked brutal.

Christine Baranski was a delight on James Corden, telling stories about skinny-dipping at her lake house and politely acknowledging that Michael Sheen did in fact name his penis after her.

Victoria Beckham and James Corden recreated Mannequin and I’m here for it.

-Uh oh. Our days of free Spotify might be coming to an end.

-I gave up on Fargo last year but the new season is getting rave reviews.

Susan Sarandon says she basically lived Feud IRL when the studio’s PR thought Stepmom would perform better if people believed she and Julia Roberts hated each other while filming.

-I love this piece on how Colossal gives us a female character who’s gloriously frustrating, selfish, and sloppy. God, I want everyone to love this movie as much as I do.

-Also, it’s officially uncool to hate Anne Hathaway now so please stop.

-In the Master of None season 2 trailer, Dev heads to Italy in search of romance. I adored the first season — and now there’s pasta!
