Prince George Turns 7

–Kate Middleton and Prince William shared two adorable new photographs of Prince George in honour of his seventh birthday. I love the one in the camo shirt!

–Prince Harry‘s team is calling claims he mishandled Royal funds “deeply offensive.”

–Kim Kardashian posted an IG story about Kanye West, citing his bipolar diagnosis and asking for compassion and empathy. It was incredibly well-written and sympathetic, but this part made me fear that she’s still onboard with his presidential run: “Living with bi-polar disorder does not diminish or invalidate his dreams and his creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some. That is part of his genius and as we have all witnessed, many of his big dreams have come true.”

-People magazine is reporting that both Kim and Kanye are considering divorce. E! News says the pair have been spending time apart.

–Jamie Lynn Spears defended her sister Britney after a commenter posted about her “obvious mental illness.” Jamie replied: “You have no right to assume anything about my sister, and I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters. She is a strong, badass, unstoppable woman, and that’s the only thing that is OBVIOUS.”

-According to Us Weekly, Ellen DeGeneres’ staffers are “loving” that people are coming forward with claims she’s not nice.

–Dave Grohl penned an article for The Atlantic on how teachers need to be protected when schools reopen.

–This is a good piece on how Dave Franco praising three ’90s romcoms (all by white filmmakers) and talking about how he wants to “elevate” the genre ignores the BIPOC voices already refreshing this genre. I don’t know how you can look at the romcom resurgence of the last few years — with movies like Always Be My Maybe, The Big Sick, The Lovebirds, and Crazy Rich Asians — and think you need to jump in and make it better.

-In an interview with Katy Perry, Howard Stern brought up Orlando Bloom‘s nude paddleboating pics from a few years ago. She told him: “It was Europe! We had had a pretty chill time and everywhere we looked, it was like ‘Everybody was naked! It was Europe! It was Italy!’ and I think he wanted to fit in with the locals.”

-Speaking of Orlando Bloom, he confirmed that his missing dog has passed away.

–Jessica Chastain, Eva Longoria, Uzo Aduba, Jennifer Garner, America Ferrera, Serena Williams and Natalie Portman are part owners of LA’s We Are Angel City women’s soccer team.

–Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas are kissing in public again — but this time it’s for a music video.

–Cara Delevingne is telling fans to “stop hating” on ex-girlfriend Ashley Benson amid rumours Benson is dating G-Eazy, saying “you don’t know the whole truth, only her and I do and that’s the way it should be.”

-We’ve gotten to the point where we’re scouring IG photo backgrounds and judging celebrities’ pantries. I don’t hate it.

-Is Taylor Swift going to show up on American Idol next week to sing “Daisies” with Katy Perry? The internet seems to think so.

–Neil Gaiman says he wants to work out his relationship issues with Amanda Palmer in private — which he announced by publicly posting an open letter to her.  Yeah, this is working out well.

–Will Smith shows up for a verse on Joyner Lucas’ new song and everyone kind of forgot how good he is at rapping.

–Gwyneth Paltrow posted a photo of daughter Apple to celebrate her 16th birthday and there’s no way this kid isn’t going into showbiz.

-Is Wendy Williams ok? She had a weirdly strong reaction to Mary-Kate Olsen‘s divorce from Olivier Sarkozy.

–Sarah Paulson knows everyone thinks she looks just like Adele — and she doesn’t hate it. “Listen, I’ll take it. I mean, what I wish they were comparing was my talent to her talent and saying that mine was as great as hers. Which quite honestly they can’t say because no one’s talent is as great as hers.”

-There’s going to be a miniseries adaptation of the story of The View, and this fantasy-casting nails it.

-The next Arrowverse crossover will be reduced to a two-hour event – if they’re ever allowed to film again.

–Shawn Ashmore plays a detective who hunts down the father-and-son serial killing duo who murdered his wife in the trailer for Darkness Falls.

Grimes and Elon Musk Are Parents

–Grimes and Elon Musk are parents to a baby boy. Musk tweeted that they’ve named X Æ A-12 Musk, but one can only assume (hope? pray?) that he’s joking.

–Naomi Campbell is on the new cover of Essence, which she styled herself and shot at home with her iPhone. This is damn impressive.

-Speaking of great covers, Judi Dench is on the latest British Vogue.

–Anderson Cooper revealed on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert that he is co-parenting with ex Benjamin Maisani, despite them splitting up back in 2018. “He’s my family, and I want him to be Wyatt’s family as well.”

-Also, Andy Cohen says Cooper has employed his nanny.

-Quarantine shows are the new black. Justin Bieber has one, and now Selena Gomez has a cooking show.

-I haven’t watched Chris Hemsworth in Extraction but apparently it did well enough on Netflix to warrant an immediate sequel order.

-The MET gala didn’t happen as scheduled this week, but stars are still showing off what they would have worn. Julia Roberts teetered in a gown over a full bathtub, while Katy Perry showed off her belly-bump baring outfit.

–Chris Evans tried to groom his dog. It did not go well.

–Lilly Singh’s response to her recent controversy is not great, Bob.

-Here’s the first trailer for Netflix’s Space Force, starring Steve Carell and Lisa Kudrow, and created by Greg Daniels. (I just burned through his new Amazon series, Upload, which I really dug.)
