Prince William and Kate Middleton Mark 10 Years

–Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating their 10-year anniversary and they released new official portraits and a sweet family video. It’s clearly a PR play, but it’s very cute so I’ll take it.

-In less happy royal family news, despite being near each other for Prince Philip‘s funeral, Prince Charles reportedly continued to freeze Harry out and they “barely communicated.”

-Gucci’s new ad campaign involves celebs appearing on a fake talk show, hosted by James Corden. My favourite is Dakota Johnson because she looks like she’s about 2 seconds from pulling her “Actually no, that’s not the truth, Ellen” schtick.

–John Mayer is nearing a deal to host his own late-night talk show on Paramount Plus.

–Billie Eilish gets up close and personal with a giant snake in her new music video.

–Jason Segel and Alexis Mixter have split after eight years together.

–Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric took us on a trip down gossip nostalgia lane when they appeared on a podcast and talked about that time Kiefer was supposed to marry Julia Roberts, but she left him for Jason just before the wedding. They were able to repair their friendship and now say they’re besties. Said Jason: “They’ve both subsequently been married since. A couple of times. They’re both very happy in their lives, and what lasted after all of that was me and Kiefer. Thirty-five-year buddies.”

-I don’t hate the podcast trend of TV stars rewatching their old shows. Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke just launched their podcast on The OC, and Scott Patterson is going to recap the Gilmore Girls on a new pod.

-I can’t stop looking at Camila Cabello’s outfit in these photos. I thought it was skirt but that first pic makes me think it’s pants. What?

-Congrats to comedian Hannah Gadsby, who announced on social media yesterday that she got married in January.

-I can’t imagine anyone wanting to go on a cruise post-pandemic. Not even if Gwyneth Paltrow is “curating the programming.”

–Willow Smith’s new song is a bop. Meanwhile, on a new episode of Red Table Talk, she talks about her decision to practice polyamory.

–Sarah Paulson was spotted wearing a fat suit to play Linda Tripp, and nobody’s happy about it.

-Doctor Who star and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been accused by 20 women of serial sexual predation.

–Joe Rogan is backpedaling on his vaccine comments. “I’m not a doctor, I’m a fucking moron, and I’m a cage-fighting commentator who’s a dirty stand-up comedian… I’m not a respected source of information — even for me.”

-The Jeopardy contestant who made a white supremacy hand gesture now insists he didn’t.

-Five suspects have been arrested in connection with stealing Lady Gaga‘s French bulldogs after shooting her dog walker — including a woman who returned the dogs to authorities.​

-The Dexter reboot dropped its first teaser trailer.

-Here’s the first trailer for Sweettooth, Netflix’s post-apocalyptic fairytale produced by Robert Downey Jr.

Nicole Richie Gets a Quibi Show

–Nicole Richie‘s Quibi show has its first trailer.  Ok, that made me chuckle.

–Zac Efron is on the latest episode of Hot Ones, where he talks about getting fit for Baywatch (“I realized when I was done with that movie, I don’t ever want to be in that good a shape again. It was so hard”), and getting advice from Leonardo DiCaprio about dealing with the paparazzi.

-Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio is helping to launch America’s Food Fund, which has already raised $12 million to help communities impacted by the coronavirus.

–John Mayer gave a “sizable” donation to the Livingston, MT hospital to enable it to buy ventilators. “Mayer was not seeking publicity in making the donation, but agreed that the hospital could release his name after an inquiry from The Livingston Enterprise and in hopes of boosting community morale.”

-This is an interesting piece on the things that are inherently troubling, and maybe even repugnant, about Tiger King.

-This is fantastic: SXSW is getting a second life. The 10-day online film festival is aiming for a late April date and will be free to stream for everyone on Amazon Prime.

-Top Gun: Maverick is pushing its June release date until Dec in yet another move that suggests Hollywood is just giving up on the summer movie season this year. I’m curious to see which (if any) big movie will opt to go Netflix or Amazon instead.

–Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk posted a video with intimacy coach Michaela Boehm, who warns them that many women aren’t in the mood for sex right now. “Food, comfort and eating sweets to up the body fat; most women are reporting these are the things they want to do. They don’t want so much pleasure.” My thirstier-than-usual social feeds would beg to differ.

–Cate Blanchett‘s new FX series Miss America is getting great reviews.

–Tina Fey, Mike Schur, and 35 more TV writers told Vulture what their characters would do in a pandemic, and it’s brilliant. The Friday Night Lights and Parks & Rec ones are the best.

–Adam Schlesinger, a singer-songwriter for Fountains of Wayne who had an award-winning career writing songs for film, theater and television (including Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), passed away yesterday from covid-19.

–Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer have reportedly signed on to a Call Me By Your Name sequel. As much as I loved the first one, this seems like a bad idea.

–Gerard Butler faces down a comet barreling towards Earth in the trailer for Greenland.

Angelina Jolie Makes TIFF a Family Affair

–Angelina Jolie took her kids to her TIFF premiere and no one knew how to handle it.

-My favourite TIFF photo booth is the one that gets celebs to pose with puppies who are available to adopt.

-One of my fave TIFF films so far is Call Me By Your Name, a gay romance that Armie Hammer says he almost turned down.

-I’ve been so busy with TIFF that I missed the first cover of GOOP magazine — which of course features a mud-covered Gwyneth Paltrow.

–Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus are still a thing. They were seen kissing and taking selfies at the U.S. Open.

–Patty Jenkins is finally and officially set to return as director for the Wonder Woman sequel.

-Every TV critic I follow agrees that this is the worst fall TV season in recent memory. Here are some that might not suck.

-It’s not all bleak. This Season 2 clip for The Good Place looks forking great.

-DC’s Titans casts its Hawk and Dove. Holy shit, is Minka Kelly not even getting lead roles these days?

-Oh god, are we going to have to go through a whole new press tour with Jared Leto talking about his method acting on Blade Runner: 2049?

–Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy celebrated 20 years of marriage last week. Here’s a reminder why they’re the best couple in Hollywood.

-I’ve worked my way up to 30 pushups, and that took me YEARS. Then I watch a tiny actress do 500 pushups and 500 situps in 29 minutes and I just want to quit.

-Here’s the new trailer for season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I dunno.  I realized this week while watching Ben Stiller’s new TIFF movie that I’ve really reached my limit of watching middle class white guys whine about their perfect lives.

–John Mayer and Nicki Minaj flirting on Twitter has everyone rooting for them in a way I don’t understand. Don’t we remember his history?

-Oh god, there’s already a new Fifty Shades movie coming? Ugh.
