Megan Thee Stallion for Marie Claire

Megan Thee Stallion for Marie Claire

Megan Thee Stallion is Marie Claire’s latest cover star.

-I can’t imagine how annoying it is to be famous and have people hassle you when you’re out at a bar. On the other hand, I can’t imagine responding to said people by choking them. Ezra Miller is in hot water after video surfaced this weekend of him appearing to choke a female fan. This is not the type of scandal you want to get caught in when your character is gearing up to headline their own DC superhero movie.

Louis C.K. downplays his sexual misconduct in his controversial new special. One of his new gems: “Men are taught to make sure the woman is okay. The thing is, women know how to seem okay when they’re not okay.” Oh yes, it’s clearly women’s fault for not spelling out how they felt about you masturbating in front of them without their consent.

Channing Tatum and Jessie J‘s recent reunion reportedly didn’t stick.

John Krasinski surprised a young Hamilton fan by hosting a Hamilton reunion on his web show and it was *wonderful*.

-Also wonderful, Mandy Moore hosted an IG Live and sang the iconic “Only Hope” from A Walk To Remember.

-Speaking of celebs having fun on IG Live, Reese Witherspoon hosted an IG Live and interviewed Offset and Jennifer Lopez.

Jennifer Ehle’s readings of Pride and Prejudice are all available on YouTube.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge has made the stage version of Fleabag available for streaming in order to benefit coronavirus-related charities. It’ll hit Amazon Prime on Friday and be available for two weeks.

-In other fun, at-home entertainment news, CBC has partnered with Hot Docs to launch a festival-at-home experience for audiences across Canada. This fest is one of the country’s best; if you like documentaries, it’s a treat.

-Speaking of TV events, Lady Gaga will curate the historic global broadcast special, which will feature exclusive appearances by Alanis Morissette, Billie Eilish, Chris Martin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves and more.  Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert will host the event, which broadcasts live across ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as being streamed online, on April 18. It’s not a telethon or fundraiser; it’s just meant to entertain and convey messages of solidarity.

-Speaking of Lady Gaga, in a WHO press conference, she said she had helped to raise $35M for Global Citizen in the past week.

-Meanwhile, Elton John is donating $1 million to help people with HIV and AIDS during the coronavirus pandemic.

-The cast of Schitt’s Creek has been doing nightly IG Lives to support foodbanks, and Annie Murphy killed it by teaching the choreography to “Little Bit Alexis.”

-Reality star/noted anti-vaxxer Kristin Cavallari and her family and hairdresser keep posting about how they’re “stuck” in the Bahamas — even though they had plenty of warnings to leave.

Pink talked about her “rollercoaster” experience with coronavirus and says she and her three-year-old son are both recovering.

This thread reminding everyone about what really went down with Paris Hilton/Lindsay Lohan/Britney Spears in the mid-aughts is worth your time.

Keira Knightley‘s new movie is heading online early.

-Who knows when we’ll actually get to see the new Top Gun movie (December, allegedly) but they’re still releasing featurettes about it. It’s going to be so wild when summer blockbusters hit during the time usually reserved for prestige Oscar bait.

Chrissy Teigen Opens Up About Postpartum Depression, Egg Freezing

Chrissy Teigen In Style IVF

Chrissy Teigen is on the cover of InStyle, in which she reveals that she and John Legend are looking to add one more child to their family via IVF.

-I’m going away for a week and I’m really starting to worry that I’m going to miss more of the SATC cast dragging each other. The latest is Kim Cattrall saying of Sarah Jessica Parker: “I don’t know what her issue is. I never have,” and says her relationship with her costars was “toxic.”

Jimmy Kimmel continues to kill it with his monologues. In his latest, he says he has no time for those who claim it’s too soon to talk about gun legislation.

-When I read The Goldfinch, I was not picturing Ansel Elgort as Theo.

Gabrielle Union spoke out about her fertility struggles, admitting ‘I’ve had 8 or 9 miscarriages.’

Viola Davis and Larry Wilmore are teaming up for a new show on ABC called Black Don’t Crack, written by Insecure producer Regina Hicks. My god, that entire sentence is glorious!

-Add Brooke Shields to the list of women with creepy Trump stories. She says he called her right after his divorce saying “I really think we should date because you’re America’s Sweetheart and I’m America’s Richest Man.”

-Glee’s Mark Salling pleaded guilty to child porn possession and will serve 4-7 years in prison.

Sam Smith is dating the guy who played one of the jocks in 13 Reasons Why and I love it so much.

Jenny Slate may join Michelle Williams and Tom Hardy in the superhero flick, Venom.  This thing just gets better and better.

-The Real Housewives have a bad rep, but Bethany Frankel chartered four planes filled with supplies and EMT and sent them to Puerto Rico.

-There’s lots of talk about ABC’s new shows getting soft ratings last night, but The Mayor was up against This Is Us and still managed to  nearly double its timeslot comedy competition and tied CBS’s Bull among A18-49 at 9:30 p.m, while retaining 80% of  its lead-in.

-Here’s the first U.S. trailer for B.P.M., which dramatizes AIDS activism in early 1990s Paris. This got raves at Cannes and TIFF.

-Is it weird that I’m disappointed that Kate Winslet is working with James Cameron again? Cause I kinda am.

-It doesn’t help that I’m already disappointed in her for doing Woody Allen’s Wonder Wheel, which just dropped its first trailer.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott Expecting

-Oh geez. 20-year-old Kylie Jenner is reportedly pregnant with Travis Scott’s baby. Doesn’t the new season of their show premiere this weekend? Damn, Kris came to play…

Ian Somerhalder said on a podcast he wanted a baby so badly that he threw out Nikki Reed‘s birth control pills and the internet is not happy. (I assumed that it was just a story taken out of context and it wouldn’t sound like he actually took away her consent once I heard the audio — but NOPE!).

Nikki has taken to Twitter to defend Ian, and wrote a long response to a Cosmo article about it.

Prince Harry is here! Since Meghan Markle lives in Toronto, she’s expected to accompany him to a bunch of official Invictus events, so expect a slew of new photos of them together next week.

-Meanwhile, Meghan‘s  ex-husband just sold a TV show about a woman who moves on from a relationship by dating a British prince, which sounds petty AF.

-Vogue did their 73 Questions series with Tracee Ellis-Ross and she was predictably a delight. Her house is a beaut.

-Hills star Audrina Patridge filed for divorce and also requested a restraining order from him.

-This interview with Marilyn Manson is totally bonkers. He greets the Guardian reporter by jumping out from behind a door with a fake gun, and responds to questions by “flicking” the reporter’s testicles. What. The. Hell.

-For the third night in a row, Jimmy Kimmel dedicated a portion of his show to his highly publicized battle against the Graham-Cassidy health-care bill — to much praise.

David Foster is dating Katherine McPhee — and I’m not sure if Foster’s daughter is completely on board.

-The furor over Riverdale star KJ Apa’s car accident continues and Cole Sprouse has asked that the  series provide transportation to castmembers working late hours. On one hand I’m not sure about it because they’re adults who shoot in Langley and choose to live downtown, and they reportedly can call a taxi or stay in a hotel near the set on the studio’s dime if they feel it is unsafe to drive. On the other hand, I get that these guys put in crazy long hours and probably don’t want to always crash at hotels. On Smallville, Tom Wellington‘s co-stars once had to sign a petition to get him a driver on the series so that he wouldn’t end up killing himself while going home in a sleep-deprived state.

-Is anyone having more fun in life than Nicole Richie? I’m doubtful.

-The first trailer for Wes Anderson’s next stop-motion film Isle of Dogs is here.
