–Chrissy Teigen is on the cover of the new Women’s Health magazine, in which she opens up about her marriage to John Legend (“It doesn’t matter who you are—even if you’re a sexy R&B crooner or an ex–swimsuit model, you’re just tired! We still have that passion for each other, but are we doing it randomly in a dressing room? No!”), working out (“Sometimes I think I’m the weakest person, but I can plank for 20 minutes”), and her her struggles with postpartum (“After Luna, I was drinking too much. I wasn’t eating as much because I was full from drinking. I wasn’t being good to my body”).

-This is tragic: rapper (and Ariana Grande‘s ex) Mac Miller has died at 26, according to TMZ.

–Pine‘s movie opened the festival last night, and all anyone can talk about is how you can see his dick. (It will soon be streaming on Netflix, so get that pause button ready!) He’s since spoke about the attention, saying “There’s so much beheading in this [movie], and yet people want to talk about my penis. It says something about our society where people can get disemboweled, but it’s the man’s junk that is of interest.”

-Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, which drops today on Netflix, is getting great reviews, with Time calling it a “smart, sweet rom com”, Indiewire saying it’s “totally delightful”, and EW making a case for it being the finale to a Netflix rom-com trilogy begun by Set It Up and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. This is a problem. I’m up to my eyeballs in TIFF stuff every night and won’t be home long enough for anything more than a few hours of sleep for the next 8 days. How am I suppose to squeeze this in? Or worse, pretend it’s not waiting for me on Netflix for more than a week?!

-Meanwhile, this is a good comparison of Noah Centineo’s characters in To All the Boys and Sierra Burgess.

–Meghan Markle wore a tragically ill-fitting dress and now everyone is speculating about whether or not she’s pregnant. (Personally, I think she just needs better tailoring. This is not a new problem when it comes to her wardrobe.)

–Cate Blanchett told a hilarious story about getting invited to a royal lunch, only to have to explain to Prince Philip how to set up his DVD player.

-Nine + nine! NBC is expanding its commitment to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The network announced Friday that it has added five more episodes to its initial order of 13, bringing the total for season six of the Fox-turned-NBC comedy to 18.

–Geoffrey Owens has accepted Tyler Perry’s TV offer after the Trader Joe’s job-shaming. Perry was one of a number of Hollywood heavyweights to reach out to the former Cosby Show regular with a TV offer.

–Laura Dern and Steven Spielberg we reportedly some of the most vocal Oscar voters who were adamant about the Academy rolling back the “popular” category. Bless them.

-Elle Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia is defending running Emma Stone‘s widely criticized interview with Jennifer Lawrence.

-I’m really bummed that Peppermint is getting bad reviews (and might be kinda racist). I really wanted Jennifer Garner to have a win here.

–Post Malone is having a bad month. Just two weeks after his plane made an emergency landing, he totaled his car in a late-night crash.

-The case against Dylan McDermott will not go forward. He was accused of assaulting a woman in 1991, but prosecutors have declined the case, saying it’s beyond the statute of limitations.

–Vince Vaughn has been charged with DUI and failing to comply with the police stemming from his arrest in June.

-A new report reveals The Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan died of an accidental drowning in her bathtub due to intoxication.

-In Yashar Ali’s new report, multiple sources claim that after the 2004 Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, Les Moonves was intent on destroying Janet Jackson‘s career to the point where he was talking about it years later and sharing how he was exacting his revenge.

–Nas addressed Kelis‘ domestic abuse allegations in 7 lengthy Instagram posts.

–Matthew McConaughey is a stoner who parties with Zac Efron in the red-band Beach Bum trailer.

-After a summer of rampant speculation about affairs and separations, Victoria and David Beckham are presenting a united front in the new issue of British Vogue. They dismiss the rumours (“People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years, so David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal”) and discuss their family bond (“We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals. Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago? It’s all about the family unit. We are much stronger – the six of us – than we would be if we were individuals. We respect that family bond and that is key”).

–Victoria and David were also photographed looking cozy this weekend on a yacht in the south of France.

–Mindy Kaling‘s tweets on Crazy Rich Asians this weekend were wonderful — though I really wish she’d learn how to thread them.

-Meanwhile, Crazy Rich Asians’ $28.3 million holiday weekend ranks as the best Labor Day showing in over a decade.

-I missed this bit about CRA’s final proposal scene and how it was re-written on the fly. “We had a ring designed already, and our mock-up looked so shitty that Michelle [Yeoh] was like, That cannot be the ring I wear. I’m like, I know, I know. I’m so embarrassed by it, but we don’t have the money. She’s like, I have a better ring than that. So Yeoh asked her assistant to get her box of jewelry and pulled out the ring that Nick eventually proposes with: an emerald and diamond one she bought as a gift to herself.”

-Whoa! David Cronenberg is in the early stages of developing a TV series.

–Nicki Minaj‘s handling of her nip slip during a performance this weekend might be the smoothest recovery I’ve ever seen.

-Actors jumped to the defense of former Cosby star Geoffrey Owens, who was mocked for bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s. Owens then appeared on GMA to say “I’ve had a great life. I’ve had a great career. I’ve had a career that most actors would die for. So no one has to feel sorry for me. I’m doing fine!”

-I don’t know why I find this clip of Janet Jackson admitting she doesn’t know what Hot Cheetos are so endearing, but I do.

-Here are 20 Padma Lakshmi-approved comedians “who are actually funny” and “haven’t harassed women.”

-A bartender named Jade alleges that Cardi B twice set a group of people to attack her for supposedly sleeping with Offset, which Jade denies.

–Viola Davis looks amazing on the cover of Variety’s TIFF issue.

–Melissa McCarthy‘s new movie Can You Ever Forgive Me is a surprise film fest fave. Word of mouth is so good, I might pick up a screening at TIFF next week.

-TIFF pulled Elle Fanning‘s Galveston from its gala lineup when they realized the cast and director wasn’t planning on attending. Too bad. After what she wore to the film’s premiere I was curious about what she’d show up in.

-I’m way late to this, but I finally caught up on Succession and wow, that was a satisfying finale. Maybe my fave hour of television so far this year.

–Dominic Cooper and Crazy Rich Asian’s Gemma Chan definitely seem to be a thing. They were photographed together last week, and then again this week in Spain.

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny Discuss X Files’ Return

-I can’t stop looking at Gillian Anderson‘s wig and David Duchovny’s eyes on the cover of TV Guide. It’s going to distract me during the whole upcoming season, isn’t it? In the interview, they talk about William, their characters’ complicated relationship, and what comes next.

-Congrats to Mindy Kaling, who welcomed her first child, a baby girl she called Katherine. I love the normal name, and I especially love that she feels no need to tell us who the baby’s father is.

–Janet Jackson is  back together with Jermaine Dupri? It’s a Christmas miracle!

–Vanessa Hudgens isn’t engaged, she just wanted to show off her new haircut and didn’t realize the world would focus on the giant rock on her finger.

-The floodgates have opened when it comes to bad TJ Miller stories. A transgender movie critic revealed an angry email from him, a woman told a story about him acting so shady a bartender wouldn’t let her have the drink he was hovering around, and adult film star Dana DeArmond has accused Miller and Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts of sexual harassment on the set of Comedy Central’s Mash Up.

-Meanwhile, Miller’s The Gorburger Show has been canceled by Comedy Central (though a network rep claims that the decision predated the allegations, with one source noting it happened as far back as July).

-Last week, the Today Show beat Good Morning America for the third week in a row — which lines up directly with how long Matt Lauer has been gone from the show. Meanwhile, CBS This Morning has held steady in the ratings since Charlie Rose‘s departure.  It’s almost as if these garbage men weren’t worth the millions they were being paid.

-Just because the world can’t stop blaming women for men’s predatory behaviour, Meryl Streep is being targeted by street artists with “She knew” posters. Someone wake me up when they use Matt Damon’s image instead.

–Christian Bale says Hollywood would be better if “white dudes” weren’t in charge of anything. Well, at the very least there would probably be less actors who feel free to aggressively yell at hapless crew members in a long, expletive-laden rant for daring to walk in their eyeline. Or actors who are arrested for assaulting their mother and sister.  Sit down, sir.

–Mark Ruffalo just bought the world a coffee. I love him.

-I really liked this Twitter thread, which pushes back on The Last Jedi’s backlash.

–Anna Kendrick remembers having to style herself for the Toronto premiere of Up In The Air. “I was not famous so no one wanted to lend me shoes to wear, but I was broke so I couldn’t buy the shoes. I got talked into spending the money I really didn’t have on a pair of Louboutins. I never wear them but I will never get rid of them because I’m like ‘I spent my rent money on you!'”

-The former Pentagon official profiled in the NYT’s insane article about the secret branch of gov’t investigating UFOs is now working for Blink 182’s Tom Delonge. What is 2017??
