Cardi B Is Expecting Baby No. 2

Cardi B pulled a Beyonce and announced her pregnancy at an awards show.

-Speaking of the BET Awards, Zendaya’s Versace dress was amazing.

Queen Latifah accepted BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award last night and emphasized “Black is beautiful” in her speech.

Jamie Lynn Spears addressed Britney’s conservatorship testimony in videos on her Instagram stories, saying  “I think it’s extremely clear since the day I was born I’ve only loved, adored, and supported my sister… I have nothing to gain or lose… This situation does not affect me.” Nice sentiment, but it doesn’t really square with her request last year to control more of her sister’s assets.

John Mulaney and Olivia Munn were papped together — possibly on purpose.

Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have announced that they have welcomed their first child, a son, together.

-Don’t expect Succession to last much longer. Writer and executive producer Georgia Pritchett said, “I think the maximum would be five seasons, but possibly more like four.” They’re currently filming season three.

James Corden has responded to the claims that the his segment “Spill Your Guts” is “racist af.”

-F9 had a huge opening ($70m), breathing life back into theatres.

Kaia Gerber wished Jacob Elordi a happy birthday with a sexy bed shot of him and a caption that called him “my love.” That’s one way to announce a relationship, I guess.

-Smallville’s Allison Mack apologized for her involvement with the NXIVM sex cult case ahead of her sentencing on Wednesday.

-Is NBC going to have any shows left? They’ve canceled Good Girls.

-I still feel like I have PSTD from Chris Carter during my X-Files fandom phase, but this is a very good piece from him in the NYT about UFOs.

-Kevin Can F**k Himself is much darker than I was expecting, but I really like it. This is a good piece on how it toggles between a sitcom and a dark drama.

-There are lots of reports that Olly Alexander is close to being unveiled as Jodie Whittaker’s replacement on Doctor Who. (He denies it.)

-I loved loved loved Starstruck on HBO Max/Crave. It’s a six-episode romcom about a normal girl who falls for a movie star and it’s soooo damn charming.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins tells the origin story of the mysterious commando from the G.I Joe series. It stars Henry Golding.

-If you ever wanted to see Mark Wahlberg sing Lady Gaga, the Joe Bell trailer is for you.

-A hearing girl with deaf parents tries to become a singer in the trailer for Coda, which was a big hit at Sundance.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Mark 10 Years

Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating their 10-year anniversary and they released new official portraits and a sweet family video. It’s clearly a PR play, but it’s very cute so I’ll take it.

-In less happy royal family news, despite being near each other for Prince Philip‘s funeral, Prince Charles reportedly continued to freeze Harry out and they “barely communicated.”

-Gucci’s new ad campaign involves celebs appearing on a fake talk show, hosted by James Corden. My favourite is Dakota Johnson because she looks like she’s about 2 seconds from pulling her “Actually no, that’s not the truth, Ellen” schtick.

John Mayer is nearing a deal to host his own late-night talk show on Paramount Plus.

Billie Eilish gets up close and personal with a giant snake in her new music video.

Jason Segel and Alexis Mixter have split after eight years together.

Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric took us on a trip down gossip nostalgia lane when they appeared on a podcast and talked about that time Kiefer was supposed to marry Julia Roberts, but she left him for Jason just before the wedding. They were able to repair their friendship and now say they’re besties. Said Jason: “They’ve both subsequently been married since. A couple of times. They’re both very happy in their lives, and what lasted after all of that was me and Kiefer. Thirty-five-year buddies.”

-I don’t hate the podcast trend of TV stars rewatching their old shows. Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke just launched their podcast on The OC, and Scott Patterson is going to recap the Gilmore Girls on a new pod.

-I can’t stop looking at Camila Cabello’s outfit in these photos. I thought it was skirt but that first pic makes me think it’s pants. What?

-Congrats to comedian Hannah Gadsby, who announced on social media yesterday that she got married in January.

-I can’t imagine anyone wanting to go on a cruise post-pandemic. Not even if Gwyneth Paltrow is “curating the programming.”

Willow Smith’s new song is a bop. Meanwhile, on a new episode of Red Table Talk, she talks about her decision to practice polyamory.

Sarah Paulson was spotted wearing a fat suit to play Linda Tripp, and nobody’s happy about it.

-Doctor Who star and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been accused by 20 women of serial sexual predation.

-The GQ men of the year ceremony happened today virtually, and Normal People’s Paul Mescal squirmed through the sex scenes they showed while he was given his Breakthrough Actor award.

Megan Fox has officially filed for divorce from Brian Austin Green.

Zac Efron may have split from his waitress girlfriend.

-In happier couples news, Friends star Matthew Perry popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, Molly Hurwitz.

Joss Whedon has exited the HBO series The Nevers, citing exhaustion. I’d love if they found a woman to showrun the series about a group of Victorian women who develop strange abilities, but that’s probably expecting too much from Hollywood.

Jude Law says the scientist on the set of Contagion warned him a pandemic was inevitable. “The great scientists on set with us who had worked with Scott [Z. Burns] the writer and [director] Steven [Soderbergh] were very learned and experienced individuals who knew what to expect. And they all said to us that this was going to happen — and it was a case of when rather than if.”

-I’m not watching Happiest Season until tomorrow, but I’m loving all the praise Dan Levy is getting.

-The Rose Motel from Schitt’s Creek is on sale for $2 million.

Melissa McCarthy appeared on Jimmy Fallon‘s show to promote her new movie Superintelligence – and ended up struggling to sing Barenaked Ladies‘ “One Week”, which features heavily in the movie. Clearly not a Canadian.
