-Why isn’t Laura Dern on more magazine covers?? She talks about being a single parent to her two teenagers from her marriage to Ben Harper. “Raising kids gave me enough street cred to feel like I deserved the right to make money. This moment in my life is so sexy and freeing because I’ve had many relationships, I’ve had a marriage, I have my amazing children, so I’m not hiding who I am to get somebody who is willing to have kids or be married.”

-How many times have you listened to Taylor Swift’s Lover album today? I’m on three so far. Critics seem to be mostly loving it. (IMO, the standout tracks are Cruel Summer, Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince, and Soon You’ll Get Better.)

-Meanwhile, Taylor‘s new song “Death By a Thousand Cuts” was inspired by the Netflix movie Someone Great starring Gina Rodriguez. “I cried watching the movie and so for about week, I started waking up from dreams that I’m living out that scenario. I woke up and was like oh my god I’m writing a breakup song.”

-The album also features a surprise Idris Elba cameo in the form of a soundbite from his 2017 interview with James Corden.

Camila Cabello Helps Shawn Mendes Celebrate His 21st Bday

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes look so damn good together that I don’t even care if it’s fake at this point. Here’s my new straight-out-of-fanfic headcanon: they were set up by their publicists to generate buzz for their collab, but after spending so much time together they’ve both actually developed feelings, and now it’s turning into the real deal. Don’t take this away from me with logic!

Taylor Swift‘s fans are so good at deciphering clues that if I ever get accused of a murder I’m going to hire them as my defense. Now they’re convinced they’ve pieced together clues that prove she’s going to marry her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

Kevin Feige is doing god’s work by gifting us with yet another story about how Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t seem to know much about the MCU. At the Marvel Studios 10th-anniversary photo, he says she didn’t know why Sam Jackson was there. “The other actors [jumped] in saying, ‘What are you talking about? He’s Nick Fury! You’ve been in movies with him!'”

Which was surprising, but not as surprising as checking Twitter to see what other people thought and seeing so many angry tweets about how the cast was playing fictionalized versions of themselves instead of it being a straight-up reboot. They were pretty clear about that in the promotion, no?

Tommy Lee is making a lot of sense. My world is askew.

-This article on the Fast & Furious stars’ complicated demands when it comes to fight scenes because they’re afraid of looking like wimps is AMAZING. Vin Diesel has his sister keep track of the number of punches he gets. Jason Statham negotiated a deal with the studio limiting how badly he can be beaten up onscreen.
