-This story is INSANE! Hollywood actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are among the over 50 people indicted nationwide in the college entrance schemeinvolving parents who paid bribes and/or arranged cheating on SAT exams to get their kids into elite colleges. They are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Huffman was arrested at her home this morning(hubby William H Macy was not arrested), while Loughlin is flying to LA from Canada and is expected to be arrested when she lands. This is HUGE.

-The Guy Ritchie-directed live-action Aladdin is reportedly doing reshoots because Disney wasn’t happy that they were using makeup to make the white actors look more Middle Eastern. So, they were trying to do brown face in 2018?!
-There was lots of good writing about the Louis CK comeback attempt yesterday, including from The Cut, The Daily Beast, and EW. I especially liked Rebecca Corry’s reflectionon what has happened to her since she spoke out publicly about being one of his victims. But this account from two women who were actually at the show is a must-read: “It felt like there were a lot of aggressive men in the audience and very quiet women…There were at least four to five females that I could see, and three or four of them were not having it. They were just looking at him, deadpan, straight, not having it.” Oh, and this little nugget: during his set he made a joke about rape whistles: “When he said ‘rape whistle’ people were laughing, and I was just sitting there like ‘oh my fuck.’ This is so uncomfortable and so disgusting. Everyone around me was laughing. That was just depressing.”

-In a new podcast, Clayne Crawfordreflected on being firedfrom Lethal Weapon TV show — and he’s clearly learned nothing. Instead of being humble and apologetic and trying to prove to prospective employers that he’s worth a shot, he went with this instead: “Hollywood is very sensitive, so I should not have screamed and yelled, right, because it’s a bunch of very delicate flowers out there.”
-Paramount’s high-profile Top Gun sequel – starring Tom Cruise and Miles Teller – is being pushed back a year, and will now hit theaters in June 2020 instead of next July.

-This has been the *craziest* week of TV news, so it’s fitting that it closes with Variety’s deep-dive into the behind-the-scenes clashes on the set of Lethal Weapon, which includes audio clips of Clayne Crawford calling costar Damon Wayans a p***y and yelling at the crew because of background noise. Variety interviewed 31(!) people who worked on the series who say the set was so toxic that by the end of the season, security guards were present at all times to ensure that disagreements would not deteriorate into physical violence. Wayans also doesn’t come off smelling like a rose; he refuses to do table reads, has to be fed every 2.5 hours, and demands scripts that featured his lines only.
-Speaking of crazy TV news, according to TMZ ABC is in talks to reboot Roseanne and have it be centered around Sara Gilbert’s character.
–Elle Fanning is super smile-y on the cover of Vanity Fair Italia, which I think is very cute. I like that they didn’t use a pouty model pose.

-Killing Eve might be the best reviewed showof the year, and it’s been killing me that we can’t watch it legally here in Canada. But that’s about to change — it debuts on Bravo on July 22.
–Ian McKellen gave the best answer when told that Dumbledore’s queer sexuality wouldn’t be addressed in the new Fantastic Beasts movie. “That’s a pity. Well, nobody looks to Hollywood for social commentary, do they? They only recently discovered that there were black people in the world. Hollywood has mistreated women in every possible way throughout its history. Gay men don’t exist. Gods and Monsters [1998], I think, was the beginning of Hollywood admitting that there were gay people knocking around, even though half of Hollywood is gay.”
