Channing Tatum Loses at Jenga — And We All Win!

-If this is the result of Channing Tatum losing a game of Jenga, he should always always be playing Jenga.

–Anjelica Huston gave a free-wheeling interview to Vulture and although her views on #MeToo and her defense of Jeffrey Tambor and Woody Allen aren’t great, most of her other answers are amazingly candid.  She claims that after she beat Oprah Winfrey at the Oscars, the TV icon wouldn’t speak to her when they crossed paths, and talked about the bad behavior of costars Eddie Murphy and Bill Murray (“He was a shit to me on Life Aquatic”), and ex-boyfriends Jack Nicholson and Ryan O’Neal (“He head-butted me. He took my head in his hands and hit it with full force against his head because he couldn’t find me at a party”).

-Wow, how cute is Princess Charlotte in these newly released portraits from the palace?

-This is a fascinating look at who got higher billing on Avengers: Endgame.

-Now that Endgame has been in theatres for a bit, the stars are starting to share more bts stuff. Robert Downey Jr. posted pics from a lunch he hosted for the ladies of MCU, while Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Olsen shared videos from a crowded day on set.

-Meanwhile, this video of Anthony Mackie roasting Tom Holland during an interview is pure gold, as is this interview with Chris Hemsworth trying to remember all the MCU movies.

-After all the drama with 50 Cent (Fofty) have Lala and Randall Emmett split?

–Emma Bunton insists there’s no drama between her and Mel B after that fling reveal: “We’re in the studio and we’re laughing, we love the drama.”

–Lucy Liu got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, and her Charlie’s Angels costar Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz showed up to support her.

-Wait, we have been mispronouncing Lloyd Dobler’s name all this time?!

-HBO has released the trailer for season two of Succession. That show took quite a few episodes for me to get into it, but now I’m all in.

-Every new trailer for Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson‘s Late Night makes me more and more excited for this movie.

-Hulu threw a star-studded presentation in NYC this morning, where they debuted new trailers for George Clooney’s Catch 22, the latest season of The Handmaid’s Tale, and the one I’m most excited about: the Veronica Mars revival.  Damn, this trailer looks good!

Justin Timberlake Does Post-Super Bowl Damage Control

–Justin Timberlake‘s Super Bowl performance was not good. The sound mixing was way off, his outfit was widely ridiculed, and his use of Prince (with whom he had a complicated history) did NOT go over well.  In his post-game appearance on The Tonight Show, he leaned on Questlove for validation.

–Kylie Jenner didn’t talk at all about her pregnancy (not even to confirm it) and then this weekend she announced she’d given birth on Feb 1 with this insanely well-edited, oddly moving 11-minute video chronicling her pregnancy.

-In a harrowing new interview (which I wish was written by someone other than Maureen Dowd but alas) Uma Thurman broke her silence about the time Harvey Weinstein attacked her. Equally horrific was her details about a car crash on the set of Kill Bill (complete with video footage) and the subsequent attempt to cover it up. Quentin Tarantino does NOT come off well in the story, but Thurman later took to Instagram to praise him, saying he was “deeply regretful and remains remorseful about this sorry event, and gave me the footage years later so I could expose it and let it see the light of day…He also did so with full knowledge it could cause him personal harm, and I am proud of him for doing the right thing and for his courage.”

-Meanwhile, a new statement from Weinstein’s attorney says Thurman’s sexual-assault accusations “are being carefully examined and investigated before deciding whether any legal action against her would be appropriate.” Jesus.

-The Thurman story got all the coverage this weekend, but equally disturbing and important was the story from the Washington Post about nine women accusing veteran talent manager Vincent Cirrincione, who guided the careers of many women of colour, of sexual misconduct. Halle Berry, his most famous client, says she cut ties with him three years ago when she first heard of the allegations, telling the Post “I immediately confronted Vince about it, and he denied it completely. But even with his denial, something didn’t feel right in my spirit, and with the possibility that it could be true, I immediately ended our over-25-year relationship…While Vince never made an inappropriate gesture toward me, nor did I hear about this type of behavior from any woman or man while we worked together, I have always had a no-tolerance policy when it came to such matters.”

-Meanwhile, Cirrincione’s company, whose current clients include Empire’s Jussie Smollett and The Flash’s Candice Patton, was immediately shuttered.

–Sarah Silverman announced on Twitter than she and Michael Sheen “consciously uncoupled over Christmas” because “we live in different countries & it got hard.” Too bad; I liked them a lot together.

–Taylor Kitsch told Seth Meyers that FNL fans approach him a lot because “they want to get drunk with Tim Riggins.” Fair.

–Cardi B denounced pregnancy rumours with my favourite statement ever: “I’m just getting fat. Let me fat in peace.”

-R.I.P. John Mahoney. The actor best known from Frasier and Say Anything has died at 77. (“I’m incarcerated, Lloyd!!” remains one of my favourite line readings ever.)

-Awkward: Xavier Dolans cut his BFF Jessica Chastain out of his new movie.

-My least favourite part of This Is Us is how obsessed they have always been about Jack’s death and last night’s episode didn’t change that, but my god, give Mandy Moore an Emmy for this scene.

–Ben Platt, Barbra Streisand, and Gwyneth Paltrow are set to star in Ryan Murphy‘s upcoming Netflix series The Politician.

–Kevin Hart says his wife tried to stop him from posting this drunk Super Bowl video on Instagram, but he went ahead and did it anyway.

-Netflix had a Super Bowl shock up its sleeve: a surprise trailer for the next film in the Cloverfield series, followed by the unannounced premiere of the movie on the streaming service right after the game. In retrospect, the surprise drop strategy makes a lot of sense when you see how bad the reviews for it are. It’s at a dismal 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.

-I don’t care about football, but it’s clear that Stranger Things star David Harbour was the real Super Bowl winner.

-The Super Bowl dropped a lot of new movie trailers, including Avengers: Infinity War, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jennifer Lawrence‘s Red Sparrow, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt‘s A Quiet Place, The Rock’s Skyscraper, and Mission Impossible: Fallout (which was weirdly my favourite).

-The biggest trailer was of course the teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story (which had people freaking out at our first glimpse of Donald Glover‘s Lando). The full trailer came today, which is more about Alden Ehrenreich’s Han Solo and Emilia Clarke‘s Qi’Ra. Needs more Lando.
