Anna Kendrick Rings In the Holidays with Kate Spade

-I love Anna Kendrick and I love that she’s modelling for Kate Spade, but man, these photos of her previewing the campaign are awkwardville.

-Our long national nightmare is finally over: Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have split.

John Oliver‘s Last Week Tonight continues to be one of the best things on (the very crowded) Sunday TV. Last night he warned that the scariest thing about Halloween is shitloads of sugar, and begged Toronto to vote for Doug Ford (which is probably way funnier for those of us who don’t live here).

-Speaking of media stories that are consuming Canadians today, the Jian Ghomeshi story continues to explode. I have no idea who is telling the truth. I will say this: Like most women working in Toronto media, I wasn’t terribly shocked when I heard the accusations. Also, the vitriol aimed at the four accusers on Twitter and Facebook even though we’ve only heard one (media-savvy, PR firm-assisted) side makes it clear why women are reluctant to come forward in these situations.

-As much as I loved the hope and promise behind the #PaulRuddSavesLives trend, he was actually sitting idly by (thousands of miles away) during the homophobic airport attack.

Daniel Radcliffe was asked a weird question about how people have a hard time seeing him as a sex symbol and he had no problem turning it around and delivering the perfect answer: “The male population has had no problem sexualizing Emma Watson.”

-Speaking of Emma, she is going all Liam Neeson-y in her latest role.

-New daddy Ryan Gosling has returned to work with a gross mustache on his ungross face.

Amy Poehler admitted that she once went out with John Stamos after her divorce from Will Arnett but she “blew it” by not realizing it was a date and wearing a “Leslie Knope top,” which is kind of adorable.

George and Amal Clooney had a second wedding celebration (minus the anticipated Brange sighting, unfortunately), where she wore a dress we’ve already seen her in.

-It’s possible that Larry King went crazy last night — and tweeted the whole thing.

-Everyone who thinks they’ve got a good Matthew McConaughey impression just needs to stop now. You can’t top Kate Hudson’s, so don’t even try.

-So far, Arrow’s Colton Hayes has won Hollywood Halloween by dressing up as Shrek.

-Speaking of Halloween parties, exes Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie attended one looking very un-ex-y.

Russell Brand has kind of been on my shitlist the past few days because of his stupid comments about the Parliament Hill shooting and rumours that he’s considering a run for mayor of London (even though he doesn’t believe in voting), but his comments about the Renee Zellweger face debate are on point.

-YESSS! Taylor Kitsch confirmed he’ll be in True Detective season 2.

Taylor Swift and John Green engaged in an adorable Tumblr love-in today.

Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest star rumoured to have landed the Doctor Strange role. I think this video of him trying to walk like Beyonce is what sealed the deal for him.

-We’ve seen a lot of bad Marchesa dresses over the years, but this one on poor lil’ Elle Fanning might be the worst.

Neil Patrick Harris continues to be on fire. NBC just greenlit his variety show.

-Here’s the first trailer for Suite Française, starring Michelle Williams and Kristen Scott Thomas.
