–George met that fan who won a date with him, and he was as great as you’d want him to be. He was also incredibly charming on Letterman last night (as was his dad).
-Also, everyone on the new Vanity Fair cover gushed about him in a behind-the-scenes interview (except for Jared Leto, whose “Come on, you gotta do a Clooney question!” seemed a bit passive aggressive).
-Meanwhile, George commented on Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s death at last night’s Monuments Men premiere.
–Hoffman’s autopsy results were inconclusive and further tests are needed, says the NYC medical examiner, while People magazine’s new cover story details the last weeks of his life.
-Whoa. It turns out Selena Gomez secretly entered rehab for two weeks in January (right after her brief reconciliation with Justin Bieber). Her reps says the visit was “not for substance abuse,” but TMZ is reporting otherwise.
-Meanwhile, according to a police report, pilots on Justin Bieber’s plane last weekend reportedly wore oxygen masks to avoid all the pot smoke, and he and his dad were so abusive to a flight attendant that she hid in the cockpit.
-In a rare exception, NY Times may agree to publish Woody Allen’s op-ed response to Dylan Farrow’s open letter.
-Meanwhile, Lena Dunham has jumped to Dylan Farrow’s defense.
-I love Cate Blanchett and her fashion risks, but even she can’t pull off a sequined turtleneck. All this Woody Allen crap is starting to hurt her Oscar chances; girlfriend needs to bring it!
-According to Tom Sizemore(!), Elizabeth Hurley and Bill Clinton once had an affair. She’s denied it.
-There’s lots of talk about who’s currently screen-testing for Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot. Hollywood should just give Miles Teller all the jobs.
-The Biggest Loser winner was revealed last night, and the Internet is FREAKING OUT over how skeletal she is.
-Isn’t this interesting: Kristen Stewart took a meeting in Paris with Karl Lagerfeld.
-Not gonna lie: Clay Aiken’s ad about running for Congress made me tear up a little.
-I hate that it came from Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, but this is a pretty good explanation of how some celebs work with the paparazzi.
-This continues to be the year of Matthew McConaughey (or, as I like to call it, the McConaussaince). He just signed on to star in Gus Van Sant’s new movie.

–Flea’s non-apology for the Red Hot Chili Peppers pretending to play their instruments at the Super Bowl is pretty lame. Even Axl Rose thinks so.
-Netflix’s new series just keeps getting better and better. First, Linda Cardellini was cast as Kyle Chandler’s sister. Now Sissy Spacek has been cast as his mom.
-There are more rumblings that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are dunzo. Her rep denies the rumours, though.
